A MATCH MADE IN HEAVEN
What could be better than putting together two of our favorite things in a bar in old town Portland?
First we put together a team of terrific cooks and dynamic bartenders. Wanting the best, we started with high-end Diamond pool tables and offered free pool all day, every day.
Next, we worked on perfecting our pizza recipe. That part was fun because we had tastings every day until we got the right combination. Come on in and try it for yourself!

At River Pool & Sports Bar, great food is at the heart of what we do. We started with our talented Head Chef, Jose, and built our menu around his passion for quality and flavor. Every recipe is crafted with care, using fresh ingredients and made-from-scratch preparation whenever possible.
Jose takes tremendous pride in every dish that leaves the kitchen. From house-made sauces and carefully prepared ingredients to consistently delicious meals, his commitment to quality is reflected in every plate. Some of our customer favorites are his authentic Mexican specialties, including enchiladas, burritos, and quesadillas, all prepared with the attention to detail that has become his trademark.
For Jose, cooking isn't just a job, it's a responsibility.
